CONTINUOUS SHOOTING MODE
Each camera has a shooting delay: the time between pressing the button and actually taking the photo. This delay causes that the picture you wanted to take is not the same that the camera registers - you are always late!
The solution is very simple and the most point and shoot cameras have it as an option also: continuous shooting instead of a single image. In this mode, when you press the release button you can keep shooting as long as you have room on the memory card. Itis a particularly useful mode for taking shots of any situation where there is movement. Obviously photographing children is one such situation but there are many others including the photography of sport, animals, and even in portrait photography.
Check the manual of your camera how this feature (if available) works. This feature can also be excellent for portraits, if your model has difficulty to be photographed. Ask him or her to walk or make a turn. Be creative!
