WHITE SKY (High contrast)
To photograph the air means sometimes means over-or underexposure problems. This is mostly a technical problem, because each camera has only a limited contrast range, which is always less than that of human eyes. If the air is much lighter than the foreground, it is almost impossible to expose both correctly by one single picture. You can solve these problems during the shooting and post digital.
It helps to reduce the contrast before you take the picture (if this feature is available on your device). Choose the center weighted metering or spot metering and determinate only the air. Take the photo and adjust the midtones and shadows in an image editing software, such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. How you can do this, you can find it for example
here.

Another option is taking two pictures with the exposure first set to the foreground, second on the air. Paste your picture above each other in a software. Remove the air and adjust here and there when needed. For this technique, you need a tripod and a little more time. The two images should match exactly. More about this can be found for example at
here.
