SUNRISE NEAR WATER
Cheklist:
- You should know where the sun rises
- Explore the surroundings on the day before
- Come on time!
- Key aspects: composite and white balance
On the Internet you can find anywhere in the world the daily sunrise and sunset times. In combination with google maps you can detect a few potential positions.
Go the day before to explore the surroundings with a compass. Usually, you do anyway a daytime excursion. If the sun rises or sets in the renewal of water, you can see always beautiful reflections. The rising sun through natural openings is also spectacular.
Watch the weather: thick cloudy sky would be nothing. Variable clouds or a little mist on clear mornings predict very nice photos!
On the day itself, come on time and make also pictures in the twilight. The twilight without the sun itself is often quite beautiful by the different colors of the existing clouds.
Composition is very important, use
natural frames, possibly something on the
foreground and play with the
horizon. A special perspective is always welcome.
Set the
white balance on time and change it if necessary.
Important! Using slow shutter speeds you have a chance to get
motion blur. Use a tripod if your camera needs it.
