MOUNTAINS: VIEW

Anyone can enjoy a nice view, but it takes talent to make a still image of it. If it fails, it is often the ultimate disappointment.

Many of the most successful landscape photos create a sense of involvement: the viewer is taken into the landscape. Concentrate not only on the most beautiful parts, but try to understand it. You should explore what makes your view so special, that you should include in your photo!
This is easier said than done, because you have to think first, why that view is so beautiful. It is a good start if you realize that landscape needs depth. How to achieve this you will learn in the chapter composition. The main tips are highlighted below:

• Find a foreground
• Use natural frameworks
• Diagonal and S-shaped lines lead you into the picture
• Play with the position of the horizon
• Use special perspectives

If there is sufficient time, try to find the best position for photography. It always useful walking around and trying different options.

The first reaction if you see an interesting landscape is to try to photograph in its entirety. Panorama - and wide-angle photos work so well with landscapes, because they reflect the way how human vision works.
