WATERFALLS
The most photographers use long
shutter speed if they are photographing waterfalls. They creating motion blur. The
shutter speed, the aperture and the
iso value determine together the exposure of the pictures.
If you have a camera which one can only use automatic settings, which means you can not set the shutter speed or diafragma, are not really suitable for this kind of photos. You can try to get the same motion blur by changing the iso value (set it as low as possible). This setting is available on every digital camera. You picture should be better if you can set the shutter speed and/or diafragma manually.
a) Choose a long shutter speed and the camera set the right apperture automaticly
b) Choose a high apperture number and let the camera set the shutter speed
c) Do both settings manually.
Important! If you are using long shutter speed, you can get ugly
motion blur because of the shaking of your camera or your hand. Use a tripod if your camera asks for it.
