RAIN AND STORM
Although a bright sun and a bright blue sky are good conditions for photography, you will have to challenge the elements for dramatic images of the nature. If it is raining, you do not think about photography. However, this is very exciting and interesting to photography and you do not even need to leave your house!
The light level is usually very low, all topics appear colorless and darker than sunlight. It is n excellent opportunity to experiment with two-tone images, not just black and white.
It is almost impossible to photograph the raindrops itself. If it succeeds, it becomes a kind of haze in the picture. You may better use some visual indications to show that it's raining: shiny roads, rain drops on the window, reflections, and so on. Be creative and use the rain for unusual images.
Favorable conditions for photographing storms occur mostly on stormy days, when clouds are thick and a ray of sunlight illuminate occasionally the landscape. The combination of dark sky and sun means amazing photos.
The light conditions are nearly the same as in
cloudy weather. The adjustment of
white balance and
exposure, such as described there, will also sometimes necessary.
