SNOW IN SUNLIGHT
The easiest way of photography is shooting in sunny (with cumulonimbus) weather. Snow landscapes are also grateful and easy subject to photograph in these circumstances.
High sun position is very suitable for a beginning photographer to practice the composition rules, using the fully automatic setting, without thinking about the light conditions.
The white balance, exposure, iso-value and other difficult cases would automatically calculated by your camera. If your camera have a special scene shooting mode 'snow', you can also use it.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The batteries function much less in the cold. Some cameras do not even start as it is the very cold - very frustrating! If your camera indicates that the battery is empty, usually it is not empty, just too cold! Keep the batteries separately as close as possible to your body (not in your pocket and not in your camera) and put it in the camera when you need it.
Temperature differences can causes condensation in your device. Put him always in a sealed plastic bag and then go outside. It takes a few minutes till you camera takes over the temperature of outside. You can retrieve it from the bag and use it. Apply of course the same, if you go from outside to inside.
