CLOUDY, SNOWY DAY

If you use the automatic mode, snow can be easily get a blue color (sometimes green or purple) if it is in the shadow. To fix this problem you can better use the custom setting of the white balance. Use the snow itself to set the white color.
If this setting is not available, choose 'cloudy'. Corrections by computer are also possible, but it certainly takes more time!

Last option: Take pictures with the automatic setting and also make pictures in black and white. You can, of course, take only color pictures and use the computer to convert it to black and white.

Besides that the photo can have a strange color, it can even be too dark. The scene is usually underexposed because the camera wants to look middle gray.
